Emotional Support

Some things to think about

  • Ask for support. No one will know you need it if you don’t ask.
  • Be willing to discuss your psoriasis with others, as much as you feel comfortable with doing so. The more people know about and understand psoriasis, the better and easier it will be for you.
  • Real friends will want to know about you and will want to help. They won’t be put off by psoriasis.
  • You have nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. You didn’t do anything to get psoriasis.
  • Feeling anxious, angry and depressed is normal. It’s okay to have these feelings, but it’s not okay to let your feelings control you. Ask for help if you need it. Friends can help.
  • Find what works for you.
